Kolkata, Feb. 2 -- Intense fog, poor visibility and cloudy conditions on Sunday largely affected flight operations at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose
International (NSCBI) Airport in this metropolis, official sources said.
Flight operations were disrupted since early Sunday morning owing to thick fog forcing the Kolkata Airport authorities to use Low Visibility Procedures (LVP) at 05.40 hours as the poor visibility affected the arrivals and departures for hours
upto 08 00 hrs, sources added.
Over the two hours period, the Airport authorities arranged some 17 arrivals and 22 departures with one arrival and ten departing flights experiencing disruptions. No aircraft had to return to the ramp, they added.
