New Delhi, Feb. 19 -- As India's research and development focus shifts from fundamental science to market-driven innovation, scientists at the National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (CSIR-NIIST) are stepping up efforts to move laboratory research into real-world applications.

Among the latest technologies transferred is a foaming formulation for instant coffee that sustains foam even at higher temperatures without the addition of milk.

The technology transfer agreement was signed on Wednesday during a session titled "CSIR-NIIST Tech Connect: Lab to Market" at the CSIR headquarters in Delhi.
