Nagpur, Oct. 9 -- A prisoner was caught with 41 grams of ganja inside Nagpur Central Jail, exposing a serious lapse in prison security, police said today.

According to the police, the accused has been identified as Yashwant Balu Shinde (38), a resident of Khambeswari Wadi in Raigad district.

Shinde, who was lodged in the jail, had been taken to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for treatment after complaining of ill health.

When he was brought back to the jail, the authorities conducted a routine check, during which 41 grams of ganja was found concealed in a napkin he was carrying.
