London, June 10 -- After finishing fifth in the inaugural World Test Championship (2019-2021) and third in the previous cycle (2021-2023), South Africa have made a remarkable leap by topping the 2023-2025 table and booking their maiden place in the WTC Final.

They now face defending champions Australia in a one-off title clash at the historic Lord's Cricket Ground, starting Wednesday.

The final promises to be a high-voltage contest between two of the most in-form sides in Test cricket.
