Pilibhit, March 23 -- Tension gripped parts of Pilibhit after a social media influencer allegedly made objectionable remarks against the Valmiki community, triggering protests, police said on Monday.
The accused, Wasim Raza, popularly known as "Mr Pilibhit," was arrested by Sungarhi police after a video of his comments went viral on social media on Sunday.
Members of the Valmiki community took to the streets in large numbers, staging a protest and blocking traffic at Gas Chauraha.
