Indore, Jan. 21 -- The series of deaths linked to the consumption of contaminated water in Bhagirathpura here continues, with another resident succumbing during treatment after multiple hospitalisation since he first fell ill on December 22 due to vomiting and diarrhoea.
Hemant Gaekwad (51) died in the intervening night on Wednesday, taking the toll higher even as the district administration has officially acknowledged only four deaths due to vomiting and diarrhoea while terming the situation an epidemic and ordering an inquiry.
Gaekwad reportedly fell ill on December 22 after consuming contaminated water and was admitted to Verma Nursing Home on December 24 as his condition worsened. He was discharged on December 28 following improvement...
