Jakarta, Aug. 6 -- Indonesia is aiming to secure at least one gold medal in rowing at The World Games 2025 in Chengdu, said Budiman Setiawan, Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Rowing
Sports Association, today.
Indonesia will send a team of 12 rowers, six men and six women, to compete in the August 7-17 Games.
"We hope to win medals, and at least one of them will be gold," he was quoted as saying by local media. Indonesia will compete in six events, covering both open and mixed categories, across distances of 200 meters, 500 meters and 2,000 meters.
Setiawan also noted that these categories are being developed with an eye toward future Olympic inclusion.
