Jakarta, May 28 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and visiting French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday called for an immediate halt to hostilities in Gaza and unimpeded access to humanitarian aid.
President Prabowo welcomed Macron at the State Palace, where the two leaders discussed a range of issues.
"We agreed to coordinate with each other in upholding respect for international law," President Prabowo said during a joint press conference following their meeting.
According to Prabowo, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to supporting efforts toward Palestinian independence as a sovereign state.
