Patna, May 13 -- With completion of more than 80 percent of the work, the long-cherished Indo-Nepal border road project adjoining Bihar, being executed to connect 7 bordering districts of the state, was in the final stage.

Bihar road construction Minister Nitin Navin said here on Tuesday that altogether 554 km long roads were being constructed under the project, of which 450 km roads have been constructed. He said that a target has been set to complete the project by December this year and dedicate it to the public.

The Minister said that the roads starting from Madanpur of West Champaran district up to Siliguri via Kishanganj and Galgalia were being constructed at an expenditure of Rs 2486.22 crore.
