Hyderabad/Bangaluru, Oct. 7 -- Telangana Revenue, Housing, Information and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy today said that the Indiramma Housing Scheme is being implemented successfully across the state, benefiting thousands of poor families.

The Minister, who met AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge in Bengaluru, briefed him about the progress of the scheme.

Kharge, who is recovering from a recent illness, inquired in detail about the implementation process, payment mechanism, selection of beneficiaries, and the cost per housing unit.

Ponguleti explained that Telangana is the only state in India where the poor are being provided assistance of Rs 5 lakh to construct their own homes under the Indiramma Indla initiative. ...
