Mumbai, July 17 -- An IndiGo flight from New Delhi to Goa made an emergency landing at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) yesterday night after facing an engine issue mid-air, Mumbai airport officials said.

An IndiGo Airbus A320neo operating flight 6E-6271 from New Delhi, safely landed at 9:53 pm IST. There were 191 people on board.

The incident occurred approximately 100 nautical miles north of Bhubaneswar when the crew detected a technical fault in one engine. CSMIA activated full emergency protocols at 21:35 hours as the diverted flight approached Mumbai. Airport authorities confirmed the emergency status was lifted just five minutes post-landing at 21:57 hours.
