Mumbai, Aug. 17 -- An IndiGo aircraft, arriving from Bangkok, had a close call at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) when its tail struck the runway while landing, sources said today.
The pilot, noticing deteriorating visibility due to adverse weather conditions, decided to abort the landing and initiate a go-around. However, as the aircraft was close to the ground, the tail brushed against the runway, sources said.
Fortunately, there was no major damage to the aircraft, and all passengers and crew members were safe. The aircraft later gained altitude and successfully landed.
