Imphal, Aug. 7 -- Indigenous communities from across Northeast India will come together here on August 9 to observe the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples in a landmark event centered on the theme: "Indigenous People's Right to Self-Determination: A Pathway for Food Security and Sovereignty."

The event, organised by the Indigenous People's Forum, Manipur, under the aegis of the North East Indigenous People's Forum (NEIPF), will take place at the City Convention Centre, Imphal.
