Dhanbad, Dec. 18 -- : India's indigenous knowledge systems and the future of mining sciences came into focus at IIT-ISM Dhanbad on Thursday as Vigyan Bharati marked its founding day with a programme bringing together scientists, academicians and researchers from across Jharkhand. The event also coincided with a meeting of the Executive Committee of Vigyan Bharati, Jharkhand.

Held at the Texmin Conference Hall of the I2H Building, the programme highlighted efforts to position Jharkhand not merely as a mineral-rich state but as a centre for mining research, innovation and knowledge-based development.
