Bengaluru, Nov. 20 -- Axiom space astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, while delivering an extensive presentation on the realities of space missions at the Bengaluru Tech Summit on Thursday, asserted that Indian citizens would "very soon" travel to space aboard an entirely indigenous rocket and crew capsule launched from Indian soil.
His remark comes at a time when India's human spaceflight efforts are advancing steadily, but still face demanding technological and safety requirements.
Shukla said missions of this scale would need contributions from students, startups and policymakers across the country.
