New Delhi, Dec. 9 -- India is heading into 2026 with more optimism than any other nation in the world, said the latest Ipsos Cost of Living Monitor.

The survey, which is conducted across 30 global markets, finds Indians leading the world in confidence about rising disposable incomes, stronger salaries and better living standards in the coming year.

Moreover, the headline number sets the tone: 51 per cent of Indians believe their standard of living will improve in 2026. It's a striking level of hope at a time when much of the world is battling economic unease.
