Chennai, Nov. 16 -- Congress veteran and Former union Minister P. Chidambaram said Indianshave a significant role in the development of Singapore.
Speaking after releasing the book 'Little India and the Singapore Indian Community: Through theAges', beautifully chronicling and recording the history of Indians living in Singapore, written byMs.Soundara Nayaki Vairavan, a Singapore citizen of Indian descent and a Tamil, he said SingaporeTamils have a 200-year history.
People of Indian origin have been living there for two centuries, and among them, there are manyTamils, he noted.
