New Delhi, May 27 -- The Indian Navy is all set to welcome the triumphant crew of Navika Sagar Parikrama II on successful completion of circumnavigation of the globe onboard Indian Naval Sailing Vessel Tarini.
In an exceptional achievement, Lt Cdr Roopa A and Lt Cdr Dilna K undertook the challenging voyage in double-handed mode. The inspiring expedition, which began from the Naval Ocean Sailing Node in Goa on 2 October last year is set to end with their arrival back in Goa on May 29, a Defence Ministry statement said.
The Flag-in ceremony of the landmark event will be presided over by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at Mormugao Port, Goa, formally marking the culmination of the circumnavigation.
