Chennai, Feb. 17 -- The Indian Navy Band from the Eastern Naval Command
delivered a mesmerizing symphonic concert at the INS Adyar Parade Ground in
the city, enchanting an audience of about 1,500 participants, including dignitaries
from the tri-services and the state government.
A defence release issued on Monday said conducted by Lieutenant Commander
J Padmanabhan, the concert commenced with a thrilling performance of the iconic
theme song from the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean."
The band then transitioned into the rich traditions of Carnatic classical music,
showcasing a stunning rendition of Raag Maata, with violin, tabla and flute taking
the centre stage.
