Patna, Feb. 7 -- union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju on Saturday said the Indian MPs face more difficulty in discharging their responsibilities than their counterparts anywhere in the world because of the country's vast population and a large number of challenges.

Addressing a function here to mark the foundation day of the Bihar Assembly, Rijiju said the nature of issues and their sheer number faced by the MPs of India have no parallel in the world.

A Lok Sabha MP is the elected representative of 25 lakh people in aconstituency, while an MP of the House of Commons in Britain is the representative of only 90 thousand people in a particular constituency, he pointed out.
