New Delhi, Nov. 1 -- The Ministry of Home Affairs has clarified that the Indian immigration authorities have no role in the entire episode related to a case of disallowing a Nepal citizen from travelling, and said the incident has been wrongly portrayed as discrimination against Nepali citizens.

The ministry has said that India values its strong relationship with Nepal and reassures that no Indian authority has any bias or discrimination against citizens of Nepal, an official statement said.

The MHA said that it has been reported that a citizen of Nepal, heading to Berlin, was stopped at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), and was sent back to Kathmandu.
