Imphal, Oct. 16 -- The Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Manipur, inaugurated a Two-Day Indian Himalayan Region Climate Change Conclave todayat the City Convention Centre, here, under the theme "Perspectives of Research, Practice, Policy, and Communication."The conclave, being held from October 16 to 17, aims to strengthen cooperation among Himalayan states in tackling climate challenges and promoting sustainable development.
Dr. Puneet Kumar Goel, Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur, inaugurated the conclave as the Chief Guest, while Shri Arun Kumar Sinha, IAS, Principal Secretary (Forest, Environment & Climate Change), presided over the inaugural function.
