Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Aug. 23 -- Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat today said that Indian farming practices and indigenous cattle rearing will play a crucial role in achieving self-reliance.
He was speaking at a programme organised at Tapadia Natya Mandir, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, on the occasion of the 28th Foundation Day of the Jyeshtha Pashuvaidya Pratishthan (Veterinary Experts Foundation).
Considering global uncertainties and challenges, self-reliance in agriculture is essential, Bhagwat said. He emphasized that farmers can gain greater benefits by adopting mixed farming practices, combining animal husbandry with the judicious use of modern technology.
