New Delhi, March 11 -- Day after Pakistan registered its strong protest against Indian cricketers for wearing military caps during the third ODI against Australia in Ranchi, the International Cricket Council on Monday said that they had already granted permission to India for the same.

Indian team had donned camouflage caps, to offer their tribute to the Pulwama terror attack martyrs.

"The BCCI sought permission from the ICC to wear the caps as part of a fundraising drive and in memory of fallen soldiers who have died, which was granted," The Associated Press quoted ICC spokeswoman Claire Furlong as saying on Monday.
