Chennai, Feb. 4 -- The Indian challenge in the Single event of
the Chennai Open ATP Challenger Tennis tourney ended here on
Tuesday.
All the three Indians in fray in the main draw, who were given wild
cards, were knocked out in the opening round.
Davis Cupper Ramkumar Ramnanathan went down 3-6, 5-7 to Jay
Clarke of Great Britain, while another Indian Karan Singh lost 3-6,
3-6 to Kyrian Jacquet of France.
The third Indian Mukund Sasikumar went down fighting to Alexey
Zakharov 3-6, 7-6(3), 1-6 in three sets.
In the doubles main draw, Siddhant Banthia and Parikshit Somani
won in an all-Indian clash over Wild cards Sai Karteek Reddy Ganta
and Vishnu Vardhan 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 to book their spot in the quarters.
