Chennai, Jan. 16 -- The Indian challenge ended with top seed Max Houkes of Netherlands stretching his every sinew before securing a hard fought 7-6(5), 6-4 win over Prajwal Dev of India in the quarterfinals of the Adityan ITF M25 International Tennis Tournament here on Friday, even as the Doubles final will be an all Indian clash tomorrow.
Max Houkes of Netherlands played Prajwal Dev in a match of the big serves not allowing the Indian to settle down, winning the first set in tie-break.
The second set was a closer affair with both the players playing hard and Houkes broke Prajwal serve to close out the match.
