New Delhi, Dec. 2 -- Sardor Rustambaev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India on Tuesday highlighted the growing trade and investment opportunities for the Indian industry in Uzbekistan.
The Ambassador was addressing a PHDCCI event here. "Under former president Ashraf Ghani's leadership, Uzbekistan pursued comprehensive reforms for an open, transparent economy, simplifying investments, offering tax incentives and upgrading infrastructure," he said.
Rustambaev said the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) surged from USD 62 billion in 2017 to nearly USD 115 billion in 2024, foreign trade turnover doubled to USD 65 billion, FDI reached USD 120 billion from 2018-24, with USD 35 billion in 2024 alone -- 35 per cent into manufacturing, plus IT, energy, tr...
