Lima (Peru), May 1 -- Indian athletes opened the medal count on the first day of 2025 IWF Youth (Boys & Girls) and Junior (Men & Women) World Weightlifting Championships here.
Jyoshna Sabar (40 kg) Youth Girls won Bronze medal in total and silver medal in clean & jerk with a total of 129 kg (56 kg in snatch and 72 kg in clean & jerk).
Harsabardhan Sahu in 49 kg Youth Boys won 2 bronze medals in total and clean & jerk event with a total of 197 kg (87 kg in snatch and 110 kg in clean & jerk) on Wednesday.
This is the last world event in the Youth and Junior section in old body weight categories.
