Itanagar, March 17 -- The Indian Army has constructed and dedicated a foot suspension bridge over the Sipu River to Angu village in West Siang district, fulfilling a long-standing need of the villagers.

For centuries, the villagers relied on traditional makeshift bridges, making daily commutes difficult and risky. The new bridge will now provide a safe and reliable passage, greatly benefiting the local community.

Expressing gratitude, one of the villagers remarked, "Our dream has come true."

The bridge was officially inaugurated on Monday and handed over to the villagers in a special ceremony attended by the Gaon Burahs, Panchayat members, Indian Army officers, and DIPRO Aalo.
