Dhaka, March 24 -- India has not yet responded to Dhaka's request seeking a meeting between Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the BIMSTEC Summit in Bangkok early next month.

"No, there has been no response," said Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain when asked whether Delhi had responded to Dhaka's request regarding a possible meeting between the two leaders, Prothom Alo reported.

Last Wednesday, Bangladesh approached India through the diplomatic channel to arrange a meeting between Yunus and PM Modi on the sidelines of the upcoming BIMSTEC Summit in Bangkok.
