London, June 14 -- The Indian Women's Hockey Team suffered a narrow 2-3 defeat to Australia in their FIH Hockey Pro League 2024/25 (Women) match at the Lee Valley Hockey & Tennis Centre here on Saturday, despite a spirited second-half fightback. Trailing 0-3 after 35 minutes, India clawed their way back into the contest with goals from Deepika (44') and Neha (52'), but the Australians held their nerve in a tense final quarter to seal the victory.
