Bhubaneswar, May 29 -- India is witnessing a significant rise in cases of blood cancer, or leukemia, among children, according to a medical expert.

Prof. (Dr.) Priyanka Samal of the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital stated that children between the ages of one and ten are increasingly being diagnosed with the disease.

However, she noted that children in this age group show a greater ability to recover from it with timely and appropriate treatment.
