New Delhi/Munich, Feb. 15 -- Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday said that India will continue to invest in renewable energy and have been steadily building on that commitment.
She was addressing the Munich Security Conference in Germany.
Emphasising on the government's commitment on renewable energy, she said, "Carbon capture strategies have been funded in the union Budget 2026-27 so that they can be implemented across the country.""Furthermore, we have achieved two-thirds of our nationally determined commitments in the renewable sector and that too four years ahead of the target date" she added.
