Chandigarh, Sept. 14 -- The first match of a three-match women's ODI series between India and Australia is in full swing at Punjab's Yadavindra Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur.
Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and chose to bat first, with the Indian women's team currently setting the pace at the crease.
A vibrant crowd, including fans from Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi, has packed the stadium to cheer for the home side. Among the supporters is Ram Babu, a dedicated fan of former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is present to rally behind the women's team.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann briefly visited the stadium before the match began but departed after about 30 minutes.
