Dharamshala, Feb. 4 -- Rajya Sabha MP Indu Bala Goswami on Tuesday welcomed the trade agreement between India and the United States, saying it will give a fresh boost to the 'Make in India' initiative and strengthen the country's export sector.
In a statement here, Goswami said the reduction of tariffs by up to 18 per cent on Indian products would significantly enhance exports, leading to new orders for Indian industries, higher consumption of raw materials and generation of more employment opportunities. She added that increased exports would also strengthen foreign exchange reserves, ushering in a new era of economic prosperity.
