Kochi, Oct. 18 -- The recently signed India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) is poised to open new horizons for India's seafood export sector, offering vast potential for value addition, skill development, and enhanced global competitiveness, according to DV Swamy, Chairman of the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA).

Addressing the Stakeholder Awareness Meetings organised by MPEDA in Chennai and Visakhapatnam on October 16 and 17 respectively, Swamy underscored the importance of adopting proactive strategies to fully leverage the benefits emerging from the trade pact.
