New Delhi, Oct. 29 -- Following reports of a number of Indian nationals escaping from cyber-scam dens in Myanmar and crossing over to Thailand and being detained by Thai authorities, the Indian government said today that the Indian Mission in Bangkok is verifying their nationality in order to repatriate them.
The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, said in a statement:"We are aware of Indian nationals who have been detained by Thai authorities. They had crossed into Thailand from Myanmar over the past few days.
"Our Mission in Thailand is working closely with Thai authorities to verify their nationality and to repatriate them, after necessary legal formalities are completed in Thailand."The Indian government respons...
