Bengaluru, Dec. 5 -- India is set to significantly expand its satellite fleet in orbit, with plans to nearly triple the number of operational spacecraft over the next two to three years, ISRO Chairman V Narayanan said today.
Currently, 57 satellites are serving the common man, providing services across communication, navigation, weather forecasting, and earth observation.
"In the next two to three years, this number is expected to increase to nearly 150," he said, highlighting the government's commitment to leveraging space technology for national development.
