Umroi, Sept. 14 -- A joint training exercise between the Indian and Royal Thai Army, formally came to an end on Sunday at the joint training node in Meghalaya's Umroi Cantonment.
The 14-day long exercise named 'Exercise MAITREE-XIV' enhanced synergy in joint tactical operations and improved interoperability and camaraderie between the armies of the two friendly nations.
The aim of the exercise was to achieve interoperability and to acquaint each other with operational procedures and combat drills. It was evident from what was witnessed that both the armies were able to achieve this aim.
