New Delhi, Aug. 6 -- As US President Donald Trump imposed an additional 25 percent tariff on India, taking the total to a high of 50 percent, India termed the move as unfair, unjustified and unreasonable, and reiterated that it will take all actions necessary to protect its national interest.

In a statement, the Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said:

"The United States has in recent days targeted India's oil imports from Russia.
