New Delhi, Dec. 24 -- India today urged Cambodia and Thailand to return to dialogue and diplomacy even as it termed as a "disrespectful act", the demolition of a Vishnu statue in the ongoing border clashes between the two Southeast Asian neighbours.

Reacting to the demolition of a Vishnu statue, built in 2014, about 100 metres from the border with Thailand, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, said in statement:"We have seen reports on the demolition of a statue of a Hindu religious deity, built in recent times, and located in an area affected by the ongoing Thai-Cambodia border dispute.
