Bengaluru, March 27 -- India's semiconductor sector is set for a massive expansion with the government spearheading efforts to build a workforce of 85,000 professionals and propel the semiconductor market to an estimated $100-110 billion by 2030.
"Our Nano Centres are set to create a semiconductor-ready workforce of 85,000 professionals. India's semiconductor market currently stands at $45-50 billion and is projected to reach $100-110 billion by 2030," MeitY Secretary S Krishnan said at the inauguration of India's first Nano Electronics Roadshow here on Thursday.
