Bengaluru, Dec. 9 -- India's semiconductor and high-performance computing ecosystem is rapidly expanding, union Minister IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Tuesday at the inaugural Supercomputing India 2025 Conference, marking a major milestone in the nation's technological journey.
Out of ten semiconductor fabrication units set up in the country, four have already commenced pilot production, while the remaining units are in various stages of design and construction. Indian design teams are working on cutting-edge two-nanometer and three-nanometer chips, signaling a significant leap in domestic chip-making capabilities.
