Chennai, Sept. 9 -- If India has to realise the target of orbiting and operating 119 earth observation (EO) satellites over the next 15 years then the private players have to be involved in a big way as Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) cannot do it on its own, said experts.

As the National Space Meet 2.0 held recently, a business opportunity valued between Rs.40,000 - Rs.70,000 crore (rockets, satellites and ground systems) in the Indian space sector over the next 15 years by launching 119 earth observation satellites was unveiled by Nilesh M Desai, Director, ISRO's Space Applications Centre.
