Bengaluru, Aug. 16 -- Bengaluru's 18-year-old Kriish Tyagi, who will be India's lone representative at the US Open Junior Tennis Championships 2025 to be held in New York from August 31 to September 6, has expressed confidence of making a mark in the prestigious tournament.

Backed by the Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association (KSLTA), Kriish left for the United States earlier this week. He will first compete in the ITF J300 event before entering the US Open Junior main draw.

"I feel more ready now compared to Wimbledon. We skipped a few events to focus on physical, mental and skill-based training. My goal is to bring strength, physical dominance and mental resilience during clutch points," he said ahead of his campaign.
