Nagpur, April 11 -- : union Minister of State for Fisheries George Kurian Baghel today stated that India's fisheries exports have grown significantly, rising from Rs 60,000 crore to Rs 68,000 crore, even in the face of tariff pressures imposed by the United States.
He emphasized that the sector has demonstrated remarkable resilience despite initial concerns among exporters following the US tariff measures.
The steady growth, he noted, is a result of consistent government initiatives aimed at strengthening the industry through policy backing, improved infrastructure and a strong push for aquaculture.
