Pune, Aug. 31 -- The country's first-ever MP Sports Festival will be organised in Pune this November, union Minister of Cooperation and Civil Aviation and Pune MP Murlidhar Mohol said today.
Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of "Fit Youth for Viksit Bharat", the festival aims to promote sports culture and identify talented young athletes across the country, he said.
The organising committee includes prominent sports personalities such as sports coordinator and Chhatrapati Awardee Manoj Erande, Olympian and Arjuna Awardee Manoj Pingale, former Indian hockey captain and Arjuna Awardee Rekha Bhide, Kabaddi players Shantaram Jadhav and Vilas Kathure, former cricketer Kedar Jadhav, wrestler Sandeep Bhondwe, and Hind Kesari Yoge...
