New Delhi, June 17 -- For the third consecutive day, India has recorded a decline in Covid-19 cases, bringing much-needed relief amid ongoing concerns about the spread of the new variant.
According to the data available from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, active cases across the country have fallen below 7,000, with a reduction of 428 cases in the past 24 hours.
The total active cases now stand at 6,836, compared to previous days. On Monday, the country saw a decline of 119 cases. One death was reported from Maharashtra. The deceased, a 44 years old female was suffering from chronic liver cirrhosis post bariatric surgery with Covid-19, as per the Ministry.
