Bhubaneshwar, Dec. 8 -- India's bioeconomy, which includes biotech, pharma and agriculture, officially valued at 165 billion dollars in 2024, was expected to reach $300 billion by 2030, Prof. Sudhir Kumar Sopory, President of the Biotech Research Society, India (BRSI), said on Monday.

The government had launched Biopharma Mission at the national level while other programmes included Bio AI Hubs, Bio Agriculture and Bioenergy, Prof. Sopory said while addressing the inaugural session of the three-day International Conference on 'Biotechnology for Sustainable Development and Circular Economy' at the SOA Deemed to be University here.
