Bhubaneswar, Dec. 9 -- India's rapidly expanding bioeconomy, covering biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture, has reached an estimated value of $165 billion in 2024 and is projected to grow to $300 billion by 2030, according to Prof. Sudhir Kumar Sopory, President of the Biotech Research Society of India (BRSI).

Speaking at the International Conference on 'Biotechnology for Sustainable Development and Circular Economy', organized by the Centre for Industrial Biotechnology Research (CIBR) at SOA Deemed to be University, Prof. Sopory highlighted several national initiatives driving this growth.
